Accessibility Statement
Last updated: October 11, 2026
I want this site to be usable by everyone, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, screen magnification or voice control. I aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What I've done
- Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a clearly visible focus outline. A "Skip to main content" link appears when you first press Tab.
- Pages use proper headings, landmarks and labels so screen readers can navigate them, and links that open a new tab say so.
- Text meets WCAG contrast requirements in both light and dark mode.
- Animations are switched off when your device has "reduce motion" turned on.
- The command palette (⌘/Ctrl + K) is fully keyboard operable and returns focus to where you were when it closes.
- The Snake game on the 404 page can be played with the keyboard, and your score and game state are announced to screen readers.
Known limitations
- Snake is a visual game, so it can't be fully experienced without sight. It's an optional extra on the error page and doesn't hide any content.
- Some content comes from third parties (for example album covers from Spotify, and the Stripe checkout page), and I can't fully control how accessible it is.
